The Third Annual Natchitoches-NSU Multicultural Christmas Concert will be Tuesday, Nov. 29 at 7 p.m. at the Treen Auditorium at the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts. The Louisiana Folklife Center, the Northwestern State University Office of Cultural Diversity and the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts are sponsoring the concert.
The concert will feature both secular and sacred Christmas songs. Those performing include the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center Choir, the LSMSA Chorale, the Natchitoches Central NCHOIR, the Abundant Life Church Choir, Reasonable Facsimile, Lorie Speer, Rachel Bradley, Rev. Karli D. Pidgeon, Minister Anthony Cooper and more. The night’s festivities will be concluded with a group singing of Silent Night.
Admission is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted for DOVES, (Domestic Violence Education and Support) Inc., but are not required for admission. Donations may include convenience foods, office and school supplies, cleaning and paper products, laundry soap, bleach, dryer sheets, personal hygiene products, coffee, tea, condiments, disposable eating implements, snacks for support groups and first aid supplies. Cash donations will also be accepted.
